Josh Hartnett is Gunslinger

Josh Hartnett will star in Gunslinger, a revenge-driven story set in the near future in the snowy wasteland of a post-apocalyptic America.

Hartnett will play a man who, along with his brother, sets out to kill the gang who killed their parents. Blood: The Last Vampire helmer Chris Nahon is directing, with Mark Williams and 2B Pictures' Albert Martinez Martin producing.

"This story takes a unique and startling look at what might happen when the lawlessness of the Old West returns... but with better weapons," Williams told Variety.

Filming will begin in Canada early next year.

You hardly see snow incorporated into a post-apocalyptic America.

Re: The Guy

actually J.J. Abrahms and Damon Lindelof and some of the other "Lost" guys are going to try and adapt The Dark Tower after they're done with Lost. But I think that's pretty much up in the air right now.

this has nothing to do with the 'Dark Tower' series. just read the description, and you'll see.

its just some movie that happens to be called 'gunslinger'.

ps: if Josh Hartnett was cast as Rowland, I'd freak the f out!

A Stephen King said that he'd never allow a Dark Tower movie to be made due to the fact that he doesnt want readers to see say Josh Hartnet as Roland instead of what their imagination make up

I saw J.H in London at a play "Rain Man" (character Charlie Babbitt) and was amazing, also he's surprising in "Mozart and the Whale"(character with Asperger's syndrome ) as manipulative boy in "O" and in movies as August and Lucky Number Slevin
