Moore and Levi to Voice Disney's Rapunzel

Heat Vision reports that Mandy Moore will voice the title character in Walt Disney Pictures' Digital 3D-animated Rapunzel, while "Chuck" star Zachary Levi has been cast as the voice of the bandit who finds himself on the road with the rebellious, teenage hair apparent.

Byron Howard and Nathan Greno will direct the film, inspired by the Brothers Grimm fairy tale. Roy Conli is producing and Alan Menken (Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin) will compose the film's music.

Rapunzel is scheduled for a holiday 2010 release.

The project was previously known as "Rapunzel Unbraided," but Disney•Pixar chief creative officer John Lasseter started from scratch after he came on board.

According to the site, the new version "picks up with the princess, famous for her 70 feet of golden hair, after she's been stolen from her parents' castle as an infant and imprisoned. Now a teenager, Rapunzel escapes and goes on the run with a bandit as her captor pursues them."

Sounds fun. Alan Menken's scores are beautiful, so at the least the film's all set to be excellent in that department.

Im really confused if you go type in information about Disneys Rapunzel they already have a bunch of characters and info about the movie and casted Kristen Chenoworth as the voice of Rapunzel. Did she quit or what?

Yes, I think these people need to update or take a look into the movie more, Kristin is under confirmed cast... so Its REALLY CONFUSING! I hate it when Im confused.

I bet Kristin was cast in the old version, but when John Lasseter came on board he scratched EVERYTHING... so I bet she is gone.

AND THANK HE DID THIS... He is the king of animation

WoaoW Mandy Moore has a great voice and I hope in a grammy or oscar Nomination like the previous animated film.
