I've often thought that Eli Roth would be the perfect person to helm a remake of this movie. I think he's the only one in Hollywood, currently who has the testicular fortitude (AND is able to draw enough sales) to do this the way it SHOULD be done, IMHO..
I hope this ends up being good. I think some elements of the classic Suspiria should really be incorporated back into the modern horror film right now, because the genre is really in a slump. Here's hoping for the best.
I have the original on a seven-disc. Director's Cut, super-rare edition. It's part of the Criterion Collection and comes in a metallic case. Also each disc has been autographed by Dario Argento's kids and it has whip-cream and a cherry on top. Guess that means I win :)
"the last film to use Technicolor, that's something the remake won't be able to capture,"
....Unless this film uses Technicolor in which case...
