Sony's Screen Gems has moved Resident Evil: Afterlife up three weeks and into the last weekend of next summer on August 27, 2010. Written and to be directed by Paul W.S. Anderson, the fourth installment will once again star Milla Jovovich as Alice.

Universal Pictures meanwhile is continuing to set its release slate and has scheduled director Miguel Sapochnik's Repo Men for an April 2, 2010 release. The film, starring Jude Law, Forest Whitaker and Alice Braga, is set in the near future when artificial organs can be bought on credit. It revolves around a man who struggles to make the payments on a heart he has purchased and must therefore go on the run before said ticker is repossessed.

WTH? Repo Men? There's a movie with a very similar premise already out. It's called Repo! The Genetic Opera.

yeah, Repo! The Genetic Opera, but why not hollywood has sucked post Millennium anyway. i mean spielberg got sued over eagle eye for the same thing, copying another movie and he's suppose to be one of the greats. so its just yet another piece of proof that hollywood has peaked and movies are dying!

There already is a Resident Evil 4, It's a title of a fantastic video game. These movies don't even deserver to bear the title Resident Evil. They should name it something else.

They really need to stop with the resident evil movies. they are spitting in all of the fans faces by continuing. The first and second were OK but the third was crap and this fourth one will be horrid as well. I mean, is it SOO hard to stay true to a video game??? This series does NOT deserve the title of resident evil
