We've received some great photos of the Dawn Treader ship set at the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. Filming has started for the third installment, The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, scheduled to hit theaters on December 10, 2010. Directed by Michael Apted, the film stars Georgie Henley, Skandar Keynes, Ben Barnes, Will Poulter, Gary Sweet, Bruce Spence, Arthur Angel, Shane Rangi and Liam Neeson.

This was my favorite book in the Chronicles series and I am so glad that FOX saw the potential in making this when Disney panicked after releasing Prince Caspian between two little films called Iron Man and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull and having not make as much money as they wanted it to. This is a great family, Christian series, hidden in an enchanting fantasy world with unforgettable characters, creatures, and places. I will be ordering advance tickets for my church for 50-60 people. Can't wait!

Looks gaudy. Belongs on a carousel. Dumb movie too. Pass.

Hopefully this is more interesting than the last installment. Don't think a giant dragon ship is going to make any difference.

Can't wait to see how much Lucy and Edmund have grown. Excellent series! The first and second flicks are beautiful adaptation of the books. The third looks to fulfill that excellence! Onward, ho!
