Poltergeist Remake Coming Nov. 24, 2010!

ShockTillYouDrop.com reports that MGM's planned remake of Tobe Hooper's classic '80s haunted house movie Poltergeist has received a release date of November 24, 2010, Thanksgiving weekend.

Vadim Perelman (House of Sand and Fog) has been attached to direct since last September.

The original was produced and co-written by Steven Spielberg. Two sequels were produced.

It was actually a house built over a normal cemetary where the headstones were the only thing that moved. And the "spook" that haunted them was not identified until the sequels. But who cares...another damn re-make!

Yet another remake of a classic... i think its time these directors and studios start making original films again... seems all they do is rehash comics and old movies these days

You know it isn't to long from now until they decide to remake Jaws and the Excorcist. People don't want to belive it but it's coming.

Well the idea well has gone dry in Hollywood. I just hope they make it more Like The Hills have eyes remake and not a Bewitched remake. We'll see. I hope we never see a Jaws Remake. and reboots don't bother me because they save and improve...well so far Incredible Hulk and Batman begins were great. some would qualify superman returns as one but it was more of a sequel bc it followed 2 chronologically
