SDCC: First Artwork From Snyder's SuckerPunch

July 27, 2009

Director Zack Snyder (Watchmen, 300) debuted the first artwork from his new action-thriller SuckerPunch in the form of a T-shirt at the San Diego Comic-Con. Deadline Hollywood Daily took this photo of the shirt.

Set in the 1950s, SuckerPunch follows Babydoll (Emily Browning) who is confined to a mental institution by her stepfather, who intends to have her lobotomized in five days. While there, she imagines an alternative reality to hide her from the pain, and in that world, she begins planning her escape, needing to steal five objects to help get her out before she is deflowered by a vile man.

Vanessa Hudgens, Abbie Cornish, Jamie Chung and Jena Malone co-star in the film, targeted for a March 25, 2011 release.

Style over substance doesn't make one a "pretty director" though, as shown with 300 and that borefest Watchmen.

I liked Watchmen and 300 so, i'm excited for this. His Dawn of the Dead wasn't even that bad.

Really liked 300 and Dawn of the Dead, thought Watchmen's one of the best movies of 2009 so far. I'm pumped for this.
