but make it a live-action-movie for gods sake. just look what zemeckis is puking.
@ Frozone
You're forgetting that these guys did Lord of the Rings, Schindler's List, District 9, and E.T. I have a feeling they'll make it a classic considering there's no George Lucas around
My main source of worry about the project is: will they give a PG/PG-13 animated film the same treatment, given the "hands-on" nature of the character they're adapting? With the track record of american animated franchises and the aforementioned example of Spielberg's harebrained, revisionist decisions regarding ET (a movie Lucas has no involvement with), I'm skeptical about that whole MoCap thing.
Motion capture technology isn't the problem; it's Robert Zemeckis. The man needs to get his eyes checked if he thinks Beowulf and Polar Express look good.
And butts; Tintin is kid-friendly, but they're terrific adventure stories and there's plenty of depth for adult readers, as well. Read the comics before you accuse people of selling out and making a "kids cartoon"; they're fantastic.
i dont know, what you're considering child-friendly, but the cigars of the pharao for instance are about smuggeling opium. very mickey-mouse-like, huh?
