Kaare Andrews to Direct The Hunted

Kaare Andrews will direct the action film The Hunted, based on his original screenplay, says The Hollywood Reporter.

The Hunted is the story of an assassin in his 20s who is hired to kill a young girl but refuses to complete the contract.

Valhalla Motion Pictures' Gale Anne Hurd is producing, with Illuminati Entertainment's Ford Lytle Gilmore as executive producer.

A graphic novelist and artist, Andrews is currently in post-production on the supernatural thriller Altitude, featuring Jessica Lowndes and Julianna Guill.

If your going to do a Hitman movie you have to come up with a better spin on it than just what that logline is telling what this movie is about. Hopefully there is more to it than he refused to kill the girl. Now he protects the girl while the men who wanted to kill the girl are now coming after him and the girl.

Sounds like another piece of crap...by the way, they already made this movie, it's called The Hunted. It's with John Lone and Christopher Lambert. John Lone plays a ninja who is hired to kill a woman (Joan Chen). He regrets having to kill her, but he was contracted to do so...really original. Great remake!

They are running out of names for movies really bad huh? 'Cause when I think "The Hunted" I think of the movie called "The Hunted" with Tommy Lee Jones and Benicio Del Toro.

Another of these archetypes. I want a REAL hitman movie!!! Go around killing people falls in love with a girl only to kill the girl so that he can continue making dough and killin targets. A hard, dark type hitman movie where you initially hate the character because he's evil but at the end suicides himself because he cant rid himself of these evil tendencies.
