Your First Look at the New Freddy Krueger

There was plenty of speculation as to who would take over the Freddy Krueger role once Platinum Dunes and New Line made it clear Robert Englund would not return for the new A Nightmare on Elm Street (set visit preview). Buzz built when actor Jackie Earle Haley signed onto the role and continued when fans considered what he would look like in the reboot hitting theaters on April 16, 2010. Here is your first look at a photo of Krueger, but it looks like we'll have to wait a bit more for the full reveal.

aaaahhhh... what the hell?? haha man I was so ready to see his face. I was thinking about it last night (huh?) and started to think he'd be less gruesome in appearance and a little more like an actual burn victim.

Time to keep waiting.

Doesn't look very different from the original. Hope the voice and face will be different from the original... I mean it is a Reboot!

Hoping for something a little more original, but at the same time, this IS Freddy! I just hope JEH brings some originality to the characterization, since he really is the perfect choice
