Resident Evil 4 Arriving in Late 2010

ShockTillYouDrop.com reports that Sony's Screen Gems is eyeing a September 17, 2010 release for the fourth "Resident Evil" installment, to be titled Resident Evil: Afterlife. The ending of the third film, Resident Evil: Extinction, left the door wide open for another sequel.

Paul W.S. Anderson revealed late last year he was indeed writing the next film.

As hinted at the end of "Extinction," the story will shift to Tokyo, Japan.

I like the title, but not sure if they should continue this series. I was hoping for a reboot. Oh well, I'll watch it.

One of the new characters that was supposed to make his appearance in this film when it was first announce was Leon S. Kennedy (always got to have the S. in their). The reason why he hasn't ben used yet. His name is listed among the casualties of Raccoon City for a fake newspaper used to promote the second film.

That's right. They won't use one of the more popular characters of RE because of a promotional item...

I liked the first one, hated the second one, and loved the third one.

Hopefully the fourth one will be as good as the third one.

Why or why can't they just make a movie based solely on the first game? You know, STARS going in into a spooky mansion to investigate. That is what I wished the first movie would of done. I wish they would just start over and begin anew with a direct adaptation of the first game.
