Scott's Unstoppable Facing Budget Problems

The Hollywood Reporter says that the Tony Scott-directed action-thriller Unstoppable, to star Denzel Washington and Chris Pine, has run into budget problems at 20th Century Fox. The report says:

The project was aiming for a fall shoot -- it is in an early stage of preproduction -- and Washington and Scott said as recently as several weeks ago they were moving forward on that assumption.

But the studio has concerns about the cost of physical production on the action-heavy film, which could lead to the project being put on hold.

Neither the main acting deals -- for Washington and "Star Trek" star Chris Pine -- nor Scott's directing deal are closed.

NEW MOON!! SERIOUSLY! It's an article about Unstoppable.

For the record in order for New Moon to get nominated for Oscars it can't make any money in theaters. Like Milk and The Reader. They were nominated and won a couple awards and people didn't care to see them anyway. The Oscars are a joke.

Pelhmam isn't doing solid bussiness at the box office at a reported one hundred million dollar budget. Denzel needs to dump another train movie and move ahead to doing the Matarese Circle with Cronenberg, and if Tom Cruise is ***** footing about been in the movie Cronenberg should just recruit Viggo Mortensen to play the Russian agent in the Matarese.

Washington is Tony's Russell. They make pretty good movies though. Pelham was good, probably one of Washington's better performances. Tony reels his actors in more so than others. Travolta could have chewed through every scene of that movie (and was successful a few times) but for the most part Tony held him in check which is no small accomplishment. If you haven't seen it, give it a shot.
