Take Flight with Amelia

Fox Searchlight Pictures has revealed the trailer for Amelia, the Amelia Earhart biopic starring Hilary Swank, Richard Gere, Ewan McGregor, Christopher Eccleston and Mia Wasikowska. In the Mira Nair-directed drama, opening on October 23, Swank plays the legendary American pilot who attempted to fly around the world in 1937.

Coincidentally, the day after the trailer makes its debut in theaters on July 1st with Public Enemies is when Earhart disappeared over the Pacific (July 2, 1937). For more on her life, go here.

I really hate films that are just made with the Oscars in mind, it just makes a film so much less appealing to me

This is only Oscar Bait for Hilary Swank. She's a good actress, but I personally don't care for her. I tripped on the sidewalk 20 years ago, and she just laughed at me.
