Lucasfilm Ltd. and G4 are joining forces for a milestone in San Diego Comic-Con International's 40-year history the first-ever, exclusive television broadcast of a presentation from the massive pop culture convention. "The Star Wars Spectacular!" will air Saturday July 25th at 2:00pm ET/PT only on G4, and will feature never-before-seen footage, breaking news, surprise announcements, guest stars and more.

Traditionally, details surrounding Lucasfilm's primary panel presentation are closely guarded secrets, with only 6,500 lucky on-site fans allowed access to the wealth of coveted information from a galaxy far, far away. But this year, G4 is offering TV viewers the one-of-a-kind opportunity to share the excitement with an exclusive broadcast of the panel. G4's "Attack of the Show" hosts Kevin Pereira and Olivia Munn will join Lucasfilm's Steve Sansweet and a galaxy of guests from "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" and beyond including supervising director Dave Filoni, and voice talent from the show to provide an insider look at the "Star Wars" universe, with never-before-seen footage and a LIVE table read of an exclusive new "Clone Wars" script.

In addition, fans are invited to participate in the panel itself by submitting "Clone Wars" questions through a special G4 micro-site. Questions will be answered during the live presentation by Dave Filoni and other "Clone Wars" creatives!

2009's Comic-Con International also marks another Lucasfilm milestone the launch of the all-new Star Wars Stories Project. Fans of the Saga will have the unique opportunity to become a part of the Star Wars universe by contributing to Lucasfilm's own historical archive. Soliciting movie memories and nostalgia, the Star Wars Stories Project invites fans to share their own tales of fandom through video testimonials. In addition to online submissions, fans will have the opportunity to record their stories at Lucasfilm's pavilion on the Comic-Con floor.

Fans are invited to upload their fan stories at G4TV.com/ComicCon.

I'm okay with the prequels but the Clone Wars? WTF!!?? Anakin has an apprentice LOL yet he can't be a master in ROTS hahhhaaa. The cartoon destroyed star wars for me. Hopefully (but doubt it) the live action series will be as good as Tartovksky's 2D Clone Wars....

I agree with Ugh....Clone Wars is a pile of crap. I still think they should have saved their cash and used it to produce a Shadows of the Empire live action movie...Granted they would have to use new actors for the most part..even with a smaller budget it would still be more entertaining than that Clone Wars crap.

Agree with the above coments.

THe CGI Clone Wars cartoons are a new kind of suck that is beyond blatant awful. Lucas has no shame.

Star Wars needs a rest period of a decade.

Clone Wars is actually one of the best contemporary animated series around. Maybe I can appreciate it more because I'm an artist and a big fan of the animated medium. It's been explained why he has an apprentice. I thought you geeks keep up to tabs about all the little details.

I just fell into the greatest daydream of all time. I looked back on how the original Star Wars exploded onto the scene and gave many generations to come what is arguably the best and most visionary sci-fi film of all time. Flash forward to now...this announcement says that this broadcast will have surprise announcements. This is where the dream gets really good. Lucas, for his final big surprise announcement of the show, tells the world that he is remaking the original Star Wars. Then in one shining moment, the head of every nerd, geek, and pimply faced mama's boy who sits on this website and posts a whiney, whack off diatribe about, "NO MORE REMAKES! NO NO NO NO NO.", has their heads simultaneously explode and the world is finally a utopia.

i think lucas is going for the younger viewers with the clone wars. granted, i, as a 35 year old enjoyed the cw film as well as the series, but it will never be the star wars i grew up with. and that is completely fine. children love the clone wars, as well as having their parents buy the toys that sell like all the other star wars toys, fast! i say let the franchise grow in any way it can, to reach people of all ages.
