Transformers Opens with $16 Million!

Michael Bay's Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen grossed an estimated $16 million in midnight runs, the third-best ever after The Dark Knight and Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith.

The Dark Knight earned $18.5 million in midnight showings, while Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith opened to $16.9 million.

The Transformers sequel played in roughly 3,000 runs beginning at 12:01am on Wednesday. The film expands today into a total of 4,226 theaters.

The movie was great. People just love to get on and hate. Makes them feel better to try to make other people feel like crap so they don't have to feel like crap alone! I saw it monday and everyone I know who saw it loves it.

WOW... I dont know what you guys are smoking but this movie was INTENSE for the moment it started. Your prob a super nerd thats all about "staying true to the cartoon". Its a freaking fantisy movie! All its made to do is intertain you for 2 hours! Get over your EGO, check out of reality for a bit and enjoy!

I agree, AintItCoolNews is filled with haters and negative people that loves to bash all movies. Having said that, I look forward to see this. Probably worth it for the action alone.
