Fox 2000 has signed Kevin Lima (Enchanted) to direct romantic comedy Frank with Radar Pictures' Ted Field and Chris Chase producing.

Variety says the story centers on a teenage prodigy who's on the cutting edge of cell research in medical school and is encouraged by her guidance counselor to take a break from the lab and make some friends. After several unsuccessful attempts at socializing with her peers, she decides to use her scientific prowess and piece together a friend out of the med school's instructional cadavers.

Fox 2000 acquired the story from Karey Kirkpatrick, who's executive producing with Mike Weber.

Emma Stone for the role. Or Maybe Mia Wasikowska (assuming this comes out after Alice in Wonderland).

How's it like Weird Science? It's like Frankenstein. Cadavers...putting them together...Frank? Bring to mind anything? Oh, yeah, I've already said it.

It's May. Lucky McKee already made this movie.
