G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra TV Trailer Online!

An extended TV trailer for Paramount Pictures' G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra has hit the internet. Opening August 7th, the Stephen Sommers-directed big screen adaptation stars Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Christopher Eccleston, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Byung Hun Lee, Sienna Miller, Rachel Nichols, Ray Park, Said Taghmaoui, Channing Tatum, Marlon Wayans and Dennis Quaid.

I'm not exactly sure what people expected out of GI-Joe... its not exactly a dark serious property. This looks like silly colorful cg crap, just like the cartoon was.

comic has existed longer than the cartoon and was actually pretty serious and had some interesting complexities such as dealing with early forms of PTSD as applied to the veterans of Vietnam.

Takes too much from Sigma 6 and Japanese Joe. I will see it, and have hope that if it fails they'll redo it and do it right etc. Batman Begins and Incredible Hulk
