Bride of Frankenstein Coming Back to Life

June 17, 2009

The Risky Biz Blog reports that Universal and Imagine are developing a Bride of Frankenstein remake, to be co-written and directed by Neil Burger.

Burger, who would pen the script with writing partner Dirk Wittenborn, most prominently wrote and helmed The Illusionist.

James Whale's Bride of Frankenstein (1935), which starred Boris Karloff as the monster and Elsa Lanchester as the titular bride, continued the story that began with 1931's Frankenstein.

Brian Grazer and Sean Daniel will produce the film.

So which version of Frankenstein will this serve as the continuation to? Seems odd go straight to the Bride of Frankenstein.

I agree...shouldn't they have made a FRANKENSTEIN part 1 first?

Why don't they just remake Frankenstien first??? Shouldn't they just do that??? Seriously, I want to be a film maker myself, and I feellike Hollywood needs a good smack in the face sometimes!!! I guess I will be the one to do it. ;)

Hmmmm.... Again.. Hollywood has delved into the archives to come up with ideas. You'd think with all the bright people in the world, Hollywood could come up with something Original.. I mean ORIGINAL! All they're original ideas are either thrown to dogs or they are too scared to bring them out in fear of them not doing we... Oh No.. a failure... I guess Hollywood will have to shut down.

I Love Using Book Title Capitalization For Regular Sentences. It Makes My Otherwise Pointless Commentary Seem Relevant And Interesting.
