thats about it
No seriously, what's with all the 80's movie remakes? Next week "The Breakfast Club".
and no offense, but karate is more of a white sport, which is why i dont think jaden smith with fit the role all too well.
It has nothing to do with karate what's so ever! First of all the remake is set in China, and second of all Jackie Chan's character is teaching kung-fu to Jaden Smith character, not karate! Karate is a japanese martial arts (which Mr. Miyagi is one). While Jackie Chan is playing a chinese version of Mr. Miyagi.
Sure "Kung-Fu Kid" sounds lame but calling it "The Karate Kid" would just cause controversy because the title has nothing to do with the story.
perhaps this time, a nuke will go off on the ship :)
