Sure, Ryan Reynolds has incredible creative control over the production... until it gets to actual full on production time and Tom Rothman gets his greedy little hands on it. I mean does everyone really think Rothman will actually stay out of the way of the creative process of a big budget, summer tentpole movie for Fox? Unless Ryan Reynolds somehow worked it into a contract for the spin-off that he has the final say (which I doubt) then Rothman's track record points to him meddling with the film. One can only hope the eventual changes and BS that Rothman forces down the throats of the producers and the creative team aren't that bad.
I'm sorry but this asshat Rothman has screwed up too many Fox movies and franchises for me to think he will just sit this one out and let Ryan Reynolds make the calls.
