Heathcliff Coming to the Big Screen?
The two companies have signed a deal to develop a range of properties, from direct-to-DVD animated films to a potential live-action theatrical feature, updating the popular comicstrip character for the 21st century.
Created by George Gately in 1973, the sarcastic Heathcliff remains in print today, written and drawn by Gately's nephew, Peter Gallagher.
The hope is to create a live-action/CG hybrid similar to Alvin and the Chipmunks or Garfield: The Movie.
