A Peek at the Logo for The Smurfs Movie

Columbia Pictures is presenting newly-named The Smurfs Movie at Licensing International Expo 2009 next week in Las Vegas and here is your first look at the logo from the film. The big screen adaptation, written by David Stem and David Weiss, is scheduled for a December 17, 2010 release.

Sweet. I'm interested in this even though Smurfs weren't as big as Scooby-Doo or anything like that for me growing up. But at least it isn't done by Dreamworks and any other wannabe Pixars. Everything Sony Pictures Animation has done that I've seen has been better than a kick in the two front teeth.
