Funny Bench Ad for District 9

A new ad for Sony's District 9 was spotted on a bus bench in Los Angeles. The ad tells aliens that only humans may sit there and if you call the number listed to "report" non-humans, you'll reach Multi National United. Opening August 14th, the Neill Blomkamp-directed film depicts a fictional world where extraterrestrials have become refugees in South Africa.

The movie looks interesting and provocative - but really comingsoon.net, did you have to stamp your ad on the pic? Lame! And by the way, what the hell is going on with your comics section; they've had the same links/stories up since april! And the links don't even work!

I just called this number and in two seconds this black van rolled up to my house and dudes wearing black and sunglasses, and speaking all South African-like barged in and took me hostage in their van. They put a bag over my head and knocked me out.

I woke up in this cell with internet access.

I don't know if all this is part of this viral marketing but I have to say..... not cool.
