UGO has debuted the teaser poster for New Line's The Final Destination, the fourth film in the franchise coming to theaters on August 28. Directed by David R. Ellis (Final Destination 2), the horror film stars Bobby Campo, Shantel VanSanten, Krista Allen, Mykelti Williamson, Haley Webb, Nick Zano, Andrew Fiscella and Richard T. Jones. Here's how the studio describes the movie:

On what should have been a fun-filled day at the races, Nick O'Bannon has a horrific premonition in which a bizarre sequence of events causes multiple race cars to crash, sending flaming debris into the stands, brutally killing his friends and causing the upper deck of the stands to collapse on him. When he comes out of this grisly nightmare Nick panics, persuading his girlfriend, Lori, and their friends, Janet and Hunt, to leave... escaping seconds before Nick's frightening vision becomes a terrible reality. Thinking they've cheated death, the group has a new lease on life, but unfortunately for Nick and Lori, it is only the beginning. As his premonitions continue and the crash survivors begin to die one-by-one--in increasingly gruesome ways--Nick must figure out how to cheat death once and for all before he, too, reaches his final destination. The film marks the latest in the highly popular "Final Destination" series, and its first 3D installment, giving horror fans an especially visceral thrill ride.

Wow, the plot synopsis sounds EXACTLY like the other 3. And for the love of God, please stop using the word "premonition." Something about it just annoys me.

You know, I always wondered about this whole cheating death idea. They claim that fate catches up with those who cheated death. But if the main character foresaw the tragedy, then isn't that also fate that he or she missed out on it? Don't say that because it's a horror movie that it doesn't have to be logical. I can accept the impossible but probable within it's own realm, but not the impossible or even possible but improbable, if you know what I mean. Even if a movie is fantasy, it needs an internal logic, which the basic premise of these movies lack.

I enjoy when you moronic "first" people aren't actually first. You'd think that it'd teach you a lesson and maybe make you feel embarrasses, but I doubt that.
