Tarantino to Edit Inglourious Basterds Further?

Source:Variety

Quentin Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds premiere at the Cannes Film Festival this week and Variety's Thompson on Hollywood says that the filmmaker may make further changes to the movie:

Brad and Angelina seemed happy, as did an ebullient Quentin Tarantino, although TWC's 50/50 partner on the picture, Universal, UPDATE: is talking to the filmmaker about returning to the editing room post-Cannes to make some trims edits that might include adding a scene, says Tarantino, who reminds that the film, at two hours 27 minutes, is well under his contractual final cut length of two hours 48 minutes.

The Brad Pitt-starrer hits theaters on August 21, 2009.

QT lost his way with Kill Bill Vol 1 and hasn't impressed since.

Man,
kill Bill was epic, though he borrows a bit heavy from 70's explotation films. Hell, even "Basterds" is a remake.

agreed on his "borrowed" material and basterds is a remake, however...
QT is phenomenal Haven't seen a QT movie i didn't enjoy, including the two kill bill movies. and even death proof. yeah a bit over the top but entertaining none the less. having seen the original bastards and loving qt, i personally am looking fwd to this

Sylvester Stallone's "Expendables" is gonna kick Q.T. Basterds out of the park.

The Watcher:

While I agree in terms of enjoyment at the cinema, THE EXPENDABLES might be more of an all-round good time than Quentin’s flick...

... I think we all know BASTERDS will stand the test of time while Stallone's action extravaganza will be forgotten a few months after its release.

Besides, it isn't a competition. You're allowed to like two things at the same time, you know?

Tarantino is all style over substance. He hasn't made a good film sinse Pulp Fiction. He used to be a genre busting auteur and now hes just a self parody.
I wish he would do a Polanski and bugger off for 30 years then come back when he has some new ideas. The big chinned knob.
