UPDATE: Bradley Cooper Not Set for The A-Team

UPDATE: Bradley Cooper tells CHUD that his comments were taken out of context - "A guy came up to me and asked about the character Faceman in The A-Team. I said 'Oh, that's out there already?', but my point was that news about the film is out there. Literally that people knew about Carnahan and the remake, that's it. I haven't read a script or met Joe Carnahan."

IESB has confirmed that Bradley Cooper (The Hangover) is in talks to play Lt. Templeton "Faceman" Peck in director Joe Carnahan's The A-Team. The actor was asked about the role this weekend:

IESB asked Bradley Cooper point blank if he was excited about playing Faceman in The A-Team. His reaction? A mixture of surprise and astonishment - "That's out already!?"

Following some laughter and excitement, he continued, "Wow. Yeah...its Joe Carnahan's. It's very interesting. It'll be cool. It will be cool [to] see what...He'll make a great movie out of it."

None of the actors for Fox's June 11, 2010 release have officially been announced, though Common is reportedly in talks for the role of Sergeant Bosco Albert "B.A." Baracus.

I never watched the original show, but I can say I'm disappointed to hear Common is in talks. He must have an amazing agent, because he's not getting roles based on past performances, that's for sure. The man has no screen presence.

Bradley Cooper has never disappointed. It's good to see he's getting some high profile roles.

Bradley Cooper will be great as Faceman & he sounds excited for the role. This is one remake, reboot, whatever I look forward to.

Why is everyone mentioning Common for the title role of any black character??? He is a decent actor and yes he is getting better with each role, but there are plenty of other accomplished, better tailored for the roles actors in Hollywood. Plus he says only about 5 lines in any movie he is in. Heck if you took all his lines from all the movies he has done, it wouldn't add up more than the least amount of any white actor in any movie he has done lol. He's good, but please there are other actors.

I would say get Michael J. White or 50 cent. Yeah I don't like 50 as an actor but for some reason I think he could at LEAST pull this off of you want to go the rapper turned actor route.
