Two Public Enemies TV Spots

Universal Pictures has debuted these two TV spots for Michael Mann's Public Enemies, hitting theaters on July 1st.

The action-thriller is the story of legendary Depression-era outlaw John Dillinger (Johnny Depp)—the charismatic bank robber whose lightning raids made him the number one target of J. Edgar Hoover's fledgling FBI and its top agent, Melvin Purvis (Christian Bale), and a folk hero to much of the downtrodden public.

Marion Cotillard, Giovanni Ribisi, Billy Crudup, Stephen Dorff, Rory Cochrane, Stephen Lang, David Wenham, Stephen Graham, Channing Tatum and Jason Clarke co-star.

It should be a great movie, but the best movie of the summer by far... it wont even come close to making enough money for that to happen.

With the director, cast, and probably script, this will obviously be a great movie. But I have a feeling the middle of summer... especially around July 4th, is the wrong time to release it, since there will certainly be long 'slow' plot areas that are not congruent with summer blockbusters. However there's no reason or chance of a sequel so box office doesn't really matter now that it's made. Either way it should be a good 'film' and hopefully an entertaining 'movie'

to be the best film of the summer it needs to be a quality film who gives a flying Froch about box office numbers ?

IMO Star Trek has been the best film of the summer so far but there is ages to go yet.

as preacher said, i meant quality, not money wise. i've become a big fan of mann and bale and depp looks like he's done an amazing performance. is this shot with digital also, anyone know?

STAR TREK has set the bar very high. Hopefully Transformers is as good...should be rad. Wolverine was ****e. Terminator wont be as good as Star Trek. I think Land of the Lost is probably gonna be hilarious and A LOT of fun. Year One will be hilarious...hopefully. Harry Potter looks sick. Bruno is gonna be amazing.GI JOE doesnt looks kinda cheesy but we'll see...I cant tell yet. Public Enemies will be cool for sure but I think the best movie of the summer will be INGLORIOUS BASTARDS!!
