Whitaker, 50 Cent Attached to Another Jekyll

Not to be confused with this project, Abel Ferrara is also re-imagining Robert Louis Stevenson's "The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde" as a contemporized film titled Jekyll and Hyde.

Forest Whitaker and Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson are attached to play the lead roles in the classic tale about a doctor who invents a potion that unleashes his violent alter ego.

The project starts filming in late summer.

sweet! 50 Cent gets to play himself. running around murdering people for no apparent reason other than wrong place at the wrong time. awesome. i bet he'll be on the awefull soundtrack too.

but let me get this strait. this potion turs a fat cool black guy into a ripped steriotypical black guy. sounds like malt liquer to me

Alright! Dr. Jekyll in da Hood! The plotline has leaked. Whitaker plays a fat guy with a lazy eye who aspires to be an untalented rapper, so he develops a potion to get him shot 9 times, and voila! He turns into "fitty" cent.
