Samuel L. Jackson to Play Pirates Negotiator

Samuel L. Jackson and his Uppity Films have joined forces with Andras Hamori's H20 Motion Pictures to secure life rights of Andrew Mwangura, a negotiator between pirates and the owners of vessels hijacked off the coast of Africa, says Variety.

Jackson intends to play Mwangura, a journalist and ex-marine engineer who runs the Seafarers' Assistance Programme, a nonprofit group that offers humanitarian aid to all seafarers.

Mwangura isn't paid for his negotiating work; he makes his living as a freelance journalist.

would rather see Sam Jackson in multiple movies than say Keanu Reeves in 1 more movie! Just read he will be play Dr. jekyll/ Mr. Hyde. woopeee! Oscar time for him.

In accordance with my Ratner rant, I'll continue with my Sam Jackson tirade.

Quite frankly, Jackson, Sam, not Michael, is indeed the Man. A current, socially aware African pirate negotiator flick doesn't sound horrible, however, I will only go to see it if Sam Jackson character is a direct rehash of Captain Ron, patch and all. Hopefully Martin Short is in it as well.

How do some of you people not like Samuel "Mother ***ing" Jackson? The man is the epitome of badass! Sure he picks some shotty movies, but he picks fun roles to play in those shotty movies. I guess some people gotta hate on everything. Oh well, enjoy being grumpy and angry your whole lives.

Sam is running with those "I'm already a multi-millionaire..I'm gonna be greedy and just star in a movie for the hell of it" actors. Stallone (Copland) Travolta (White Man's Burden). He's boring in regular movies, but kicks @$$ in action flicks.
