More Photos From Peter Jackson's Lovely Bones

April 26, 2009

Saoirse Ronan fansite Access-Saoirse has received more scans of photos from Peter Jackson's The Lovely Bones that can be found in the new issue of Empire magazine. Opening December 11, the big screen adaptation of Alice Sebold's best-selling novel stars Mark Wahlberg, Rachel Weisz, Susan Sarandon, Stanley Tucci, Michael Imperioli and Ronan.

The film centers on a young girl who has been murdered and watches over her family – and her killer – from heaven. She must weigh her desire for vengeance against her desire for her family to heal.

Wahlberg is a horrible actor. His presence will only bring this movie down. As it has with every other movie he's in.

It has a Heavenly Creatures look to it and that is a great thing to have!

I agree _Sam_Raimi, just look at the last few years: Shooter, The Happening, Max Payne, need I go on?

Wahlberg isn't necessarily a bad actor, he just makes bad film choices. I don't think that his presence in the film will bring it down, Jackson would not work with him if he didn't think he was effective. Wahlberg was in The Departed, and that is a brilliant film; so I don't foresee any problems with this just because he plays a role.

On another note the photos look great, starting to get very excited about this now.

A hugely overrated book.

And how does Whalberg keep getting big parts?
