20th Century Fox has already set a July 7, 2010 release date for Robert Rodriguez's Predators, which the studio promises to be "a bold new chapter in the Predator universe."

Rodriguez officially announced the project just yesterday, calling the project "a reboot of the 'Predator' series." Rodriguez previously wrote a Predator 3 that was then discarded because it was "too big."

As far as competition, Paramount has The Last Airbender scheduled for a July 2, 2010 release and Universal Pictures is eyeing July 9, 2010 for Despicable Me.

New Predator movie? could be cool, especially with rodriguez directing, as long as it isnt overdone. And no "Predators", if hes rebooting the franchise, just call it Predator. My two cents.

YEAH well your TWO cents don't mean crap to Hollywood so they will call it whatever they want to & you know damn well you will watch it NO MATTER that they end up calling it

they are smart to call predators, it will never duplicate the original rodriguez is smart enough not to mimic the original, RR knows how to do action and this will EASILY be better than last two predator movies combined, love how people bring up couple of kids movies and forget desperado, planet terror, and sin city....DUH perfect choice

I'd much rather Robert got his head down and just made Sin City 2 but the fact he's crammed it together with Jetsons,Machete and Predator I just know it's going to be a rush job and a poor sequel.
