UPDATE: Fox, Rodriguez Rebooting Predator Series

Robert Rodriguez and 20th Century Fox are giving Predator a facelift in a new film entitled Predators. First reported by Bloody-Disgusting in January, the official announcement came today via a news conference today at the Texas-based Troublemaker Studios where Rodriguez was on hand for the signing of a new state film incentive.

"I'm going to be able to shoot my upcoming 'Machete' here, a sci-fi action film called 'Nerverackers,' a re-boot of the 'Predator' series called 'Predators,' and a couple of smaller movies called 'Sin City 2' and 'The Jetsons,'" he told the press.

If you recall, Rodriguez penned a Predator 3 script some time ago that was discarded because it was "too big."

Why? His chicky baby Rose McGowan wants to be a Predator? Seems the only reasons he makes movies anymore is to give her vehicles.

Robert Rodriguez? Reboot of Predator? Is is a remake or a just a new sequel? I don't mind a sequel that takes things in a newer direction, but one of those ridiculous reimagings that are all the rage? No! The Predator design is perfect, anything they do will ruin it. This is the same guy who gave us Spy Kids and Shark Boy and Lava Girl.

I have mixed emotions about this.
I love Robert Rodriguez and mostly everything he does, but I'm not too keen on anyone rebooting Predator. Especially with that added 's' at the end we already know it's gonna be a lot different than the old ones considering they all had one predator.
We'll wait and see what's released on this I guess..

God forbid someone make a film for his kids. Both were also successful as far as profit. Ever thought maybe you just weren't the target audience? This is the same guy that brought us the El Mariachi Tril., Sin City, and the better half of Grindhouse. And you want to doubt this man for making a few movies that his kids could actually watch and enjoy? Well ****. Didn't realize being a family man was a crime.

Also, as far as him making films only for his new woman; I didn't realize one movie starring her was really only making movies as vehicles for her. Think before you speak.

Also, I don't see Rodriguez butchering anything. I bet the Predator will look almost identical, if not a little more badass.

And as far as Red Sonja, he was always only attached to Produce. Not Direct.
