Bay Says Spielberg Thinks Transformers 2 is "Awesome"

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen director Michael Bay says the film's executive producer, Steven Spielberg, thinks Bay's cut is "awesome" and that the new trailer will be released with X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Bay posted the following on his message board, :

Steven Spielberg sat next to me in a big 100 person theater at Sony today. There were 98 empty seats. The lights came up after we just watched my cut of Revenge of the Fallen. He turned to me and said
"It's awesome". He felt this movie was better then the first - and probably my best, who knows - at this point in a movie you start to lose your objectivity. I just hope the fans like it. I'm going to start putting it in front of audiences in a few weeks - no you are not invited, yet.

We have 60 days left. Let me tell you it will be a race to finish. It's 12 at night and we are still working here in the edit room. Everyone at ILM and DD are killing themselves right now, they are doing a stellar job on the effects. We also just finished our trailer which is coming out with Wolverine. Talk to you soon.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen hits conventional and IMAX theaters on June 24.

yeah but Speilberg also thought his Indiana Jones movie was good so I think his taste has been doubtful lately. But can't wait to see this movie

hahaha typo at the end!
its supposed to say May 1, 2009 nor June 24, 2009 =P

and if Steven thinks its awesome, then it might as well be awesome!
i thought most of the 1st one was great, except that it was mainly about the humans, not the Terminators (which we all wanted to see kcik some Decepticon ass).
But now that theyve set a backstory to the charecters, they can jump right into the action!

and i cant wait to see the new trailer.....online!
Since i dont wanna pay my $13.50 to see a movie that i already saw! =P

They're going to HAVE Transformers in this? I may suffer from "multiple random pointless human characters who serve no purpose" withdrawal.

Not a good sign. Spielberg said the same about "Star Wars: Episode 1" after test screenings. Definitely a bad sign for "Bayformers 2: Louder, Dumber, More 'splosives".

"padding yourself in the back".

what did they though the executive producer would have said it bad or suck??????

ask the real fans and the ORIGINAL FANS OF THE FRANCHISES AND ORIGINAL TRANSFORMER CARTOON.

just because you hear MB or ST in it dont mean necessary great movies for cartoon based movies.

ps: watched Transformer after an year and still didnt liked the characters and the story was toooo much on people than TRANSFORMER 'S. SINCE being a transformer movie.

and oh i would not reply for this post or read any new post
