To answer your question Chessh, Terminator is going to make more money versus its cost with a PG-13 rating. Kids can go see it, whereas adults are already the target demographic for this movie, so who cares if it's R?

Doesn't matter Dennis, the new Terminator SHOULD have been rated R. I'm not saying just cause its PG-13 that its going to suck, but the film SHOULD have been R. It looks like Warner Bros. just didn't have enough confidence in the film to give it an R rating.

stop with all this terminator should be rated R crap, The Dark Knight, yes i am bringin it up, is an amazing movie and did as well as it did cos it was only rated pg-13 although many people though it should have been rated higher. So of course they weill want as many people as possible to have the oportunity to go see Terminator Salvation.

The Dark Knight was NEVER meant to be rated R xantheus so I dont know why you would bring that up. Not to mention its based on a comic book hero.

He brings up the Dark Knight because it was a very dark movie and was still pulled off with a pg13 rating.

Proof that you can be disturbing and violent without having to be R. And R keeps the kids away and thats a lot of extra cash.

terminator does not need a r rating terminator films never had lots of blood like say kill bill nudity is'nt necessary and cursing isn't necessary either t-2 would get a pg13 in today's ratings imo

Gladiator, Alien, Aliens, Braveheart, Exorcist, Godfather 1 & 2, Raging Bull, Goodfellas...the list is endless.
Should all these have been watered down and had all creativity taken away from the director, and the intent of the film just so teenage jerko**s could see it? Your argument is ridiculous about "R" ratings. Keep the intent of Jim Cameron's vision with an R rating. Screw "McG", who sounds like something off the breakfast menu while getting an Egg McMuffin.
