The Box writer/director Richard Kelly has debuted the new poster for the Cameron Diaz, James Marsden and Frank Langella thriller, which Warner Bros. Pictures will release in theaters on October 30th.

In the film, Norma and Arthur Lewis are a suburban couple with a young child who receive an anonymous gift bearing fatal and irrevocable consequences. A simple wooden box, it promises to deliver its owner $1 million with the press of a button. However, pressing this button will simultaneously cause the death of another human being somewhere in the world...someone they don't know. With just 24 hours to have the box in their possession, Norma and Arthur find themselves in the crosshairs of a startling moral dilemma and face the true nature of their humanity.

if its anything like donnie darko or souland tales it will be genius. Alot of people didnt like those movies, especially southland tales. I say either you werent paying attention or you were too dumb to understand it. Deal with it.

Southland Tales was too outlandish. Donnie Darko is good but overrated and only half as insightful as this tween generation made it out to be. Wanna see a ****ed up movie that satires society see Oldboy or any other of the Vengeance trilogy. Then we can talk moral dilemmas. By the way "The Box" was also a short japanese film directed by Takashi Miike. The "Box" concept is so over done...Hellbound Heart i.e. Hellraiser. Drag.

It's based off of a Richard Matheson short story called "Button, Button".

How does Richard Kelly manage to make the best movies with the worst casting?

...Magic?

wow, this is actually hitting theatres?? & with only 3 ppl in the cast, I feel that more than just Cameron's name and a huge blow-up of her face should be on the poster. It's a cool poster, don't get me wrong, but both of the guys could've been put on the poster with their names as well.

This is a classic ethics dilemma that will probably be really, really silly when melo-dramatized by Cameron Diaz.

Sorry Richard Kelly, this looks stupid.
