Battle for Terra Poster and Photos

Roadside Attractions has provided us with the poster and photos from Battle for Terra, opening in theaters on May 1st. The animated-adventure is voiced by Justin Long, Brian Cox, Evan Rachel Wood, Luke Wilson, David Cross, Amanda Peet, James Garner, Dennis Quaid, Chris Evans and Danny Glover.

The film tells the story of Senn (Long) and Mala (Wood), two rebellious alien teens living on the beautiful planet Terra, a place that promotes peace and tolerance, having long ago rejected war and weapons of mass destruction. But when Terra is invaded by human beings fleeing a civil war and environmental catastrophe, the planet is plunged into chaos. During the upheaval, Mala befriends an injured human pilot (Wilson) and each learns the two races are not so different from one another. Together they must face the terrifying realization that in a world of limited resources, only one of their races is likely to survive.

I was intrigued until I saw the pictures of the aliens. Why are they cutsie? That totally killed it for me. The humans look dead on like the stuff you see in the new Clone Wars movie and cartoon. In fact all of this so far looks like Clone Wars. I wish cartoonists would develope their own style instead of ripping off Gendy Tartakovsky all the time.

Wonderful, another movie about how humans (and probably Americans) suck. It must be so alwful for the makers of this movie that Western society won the battle for survival and dominance because in their case, since they were not a party to the struggle, they have no appreciation for what was bequeathed them.

Success tests one's mettle as surely as the strongest adversary - and they failed the test.

The truth is humanity sucks and if we did have another planet to inhabit and there were beings on it we would kill them or if we had visitors the government would nuke us. Sorry, but thats the truth.
