Pena, Dourif and Cobbs Join Herzog and Lynch Thriller

February 8, 2009

Michael Pena, Brad Dourif and Bill Cobbs have joined the cast of Werner Herzog and David Lynch's psychological thriller My Son, My Son, What Have Ye Done, says The Hollywood Reporter.

The trio join Michael Shannon, Willem Dafoe and Chloe Sevigny in the film, which Herzog is directing. Eric Bassett (Inland Empire) is producing while David Lynch serves as executive producer.

The film is loosely based on the true story of a San Diego man who experiences a series of mystifying events that lead him to brutally murder his own mother with a sword.

I love Chloe Sevigny. I love all of her indie-art flicks, but I'm stoked to see her in something somewhat modern, it seems like.

I'm not a huge fan of her show Big Love.

Herzog and Lynch together? I'm there! I've always enjoyed Dourif, too.

"Amitiel" what do you mean how is Brad Dourif still getting work? Brad Dourif is one of the greatest most unused actors around.

I am definitely seeing this movie; amazing cast, especially with the inclusion of Brad Dourif...you guys know he's the voice of Chucky, right? Regarding to how he's still getting work, well, according to imdb.com, he was quoted saying that he's a working whore.

I'm not sure what Lynch's executive producer role will really mean for the film, but it's still a good name to have on the poster. I'm sure he's been instrumental in the project's conception, anyway. The project definitely seems promising.

"Amitiel" was probably thinking of Stephen "I play great Douchbags because I am one" Dorff.
