Oscar nominee Mickey Rourke will star in indie action-thriller St. Vincent, directed by Walter Hill for Occpuant Films and Secret Handshake Entertainment. Production is slated to begin later this year.

St. Vincent, written by Cameron Young, centers on a hit man returning to his former New York City neighborhood to finish off the botched killing of an informant. He's then forced to masquerade as a priest and finds himself taking the confessions of his target.

Rourke and Hill worked together on 1989's Johnny Handsome.

I think/hope rourke will do Iron man 2 for he and downey seemed to really click at the oscar nomiees Q&A it just a matter of money i think because i heard they only offered him $ 150,000 to do the part because of his history. But, i think he can do iron man 2 and expendables for he has only a small part in that i hear and St. vincent sounds great so can then go and shoot that for that is an indie film and probably won't take long and depending how big of a part he is supposed to have in Dark horses will determine wheter or not he will be in it. I hope he will be in all of thes flicks can U just imagine him having all these movies to come out into theaters possibly all in one year it would be great!/record breaking even

He backed out of Iron Man 2 BECAUSE of the Expendables

I don't think he has backed out of anything, except for wrestlemania. Downey Jr. just said he wasn't playing a certain part in Iron Man 2, but never said he wasn't in the movie.

And also, I almost feel like this plot is a bit to similar to another film of his called Killshot. (botched hit story line)

Walter Hill is awesome, i absolutely love The Warriors! thats such a great flick!

this sounds like it would be really cool. Rourke gave an epic performance in The Wrestler (the 2nd best flick of 2008, only after TDK)and i hope he continues to do great work

definately interested to check this out
