Yay! The Dark Knight was best movie of the year (in movie theaters) but still get **** and win nothing. This is so unfair for them because Heath Ledger is already winner for best supporting actor in Academy Awards.

Wow, I like these awards.

Congrats to Iron Man, that movie was impressive. I hope this extends the budget for the sequel as it starts to rake in the awards.

I just hope that the Mummy wins the 1 award it was nominated for: THe Avalanche Sequence.

I'm all for acknowledging quality and everything here truly deserves any awards they may get, but does it feel like we've gotten to the point where we're going to see categories like "Outstanding shade of gray in a building for a Revolutionary War film." "Outstanding virtual candy bar wrapper in a 15 second commercial/30 second commercial/60 second commercial/Superbowl commercial." "Outstanding use of the word 'visual' by a not too hairy character with less than 3 minutes of screen time in a television miniseries."

Am I being unfair?

If I see ANYONE say anything again about this being unfair for Heath Ledger I will fncking hunt them down. These are VISUAL EFFECTS AWARDS. Jesus...

I love the "Single Best Visual Effect Of The Year" for Iron Man is the entire movie, no specific scene. LMFAO...

Yeah - I'm over TDK fans screaming about their favourite film in the face of stronger competition. Ok... It rocked. I'm with you there guys, but as a vfx professional myself, IMHO there were a few films which were a little stronger in terms of fx. It's been a big year for ground-breaking fx and while TDK had some awesome sequnces, I'd have to agree with most of the categories above where tdk is absent.

To be honest, I can't wait til the hype has died down a bit so we can discuss movies without somebody invoking the name of Heath every 2 minutes... It's getting a bit old...

Iron Man was boring and predictable.
The end fight scene was vomit inducing.. could have been worse could have been a hell of alot better.
overrated

I agree with Iron Bore. I know Iron Man has a lot of nominations, but come on! the visual effects on that movie suck! Prince Caspian was much better!

So what? Visual, drama plaa plaa. overrated Ledger get attention, TDK not. But in The Dark Knight was more "realistic" stunts etc.. Iron Man deserve win!
