Producers Say No to Jurassic Park 4

Producers Frank Marshall and Kathleen Kennedy just revealed at today's junket for The Curious Case of Benjamin Button that plans have fallen through for a fourth entry in the "Jurassic Park" franchise.

When asked if there was any development on the long-anticipated sequel, Kennedy responded, "No... I don't know. You know, when Crichton passed away, I sorta felt maybe that's it. Maybe that's a sign that we don't mess with it."

Since Joe Johnston's Jurassic Park III in 2001, Universal has been developing a fourth outing in the successful franchise. The studio commissioned William Monahan and John Sayles to pen a script in '04.

Jurassic Park 4 has consistently been in the Top Previews on ComingSoon.net over the years.

Yea, just let it die. Spielberg wasnt gonna direct it anyway so whats the point? No need to beat a dead horse.

Hmmm....too bad. I was hoping they could end the series on a better note than Jurassic Park III. Maybe it'll be like the Indiana Jones series and there will be a revival way on down the line.

This franchise has so much potential for great material, I cannot believe there is not going to be a fourth. I am the biggest JPark fan on the Earth. I say make the fourth a tribute to Crichton and finish the series with the best one yet. Or a prequel would be amazing. A young John Hammond, eccentric scientist and his quest to play God. And of course the construction of the park. You know some people got eaten along the way.

Yeah the third one sucked. They really shouldn't have made sequels, while I enjoyed the 2nd one it still of course is over shadowed.

Thats a good thing. Jurassic Park 2 and 3 weren't that great. The first was the best.

Never say Never, It will get made some day, the delay is a good thing though, as all rumors of what JPIV would have been were really crappy. I don't know why they don't just give audience what they want sometimes. Escape from Jurassic Park can write itself and would please a lot of people. Just give us what we want speilberg, you know it's in you.

I'd still be shocked if another one doesnt come out at some point in the future.
