Will Smith Says Hancock 2 is Happening

Source:JoBlo

JoBlo caught up with Will Smith, who revealed that a Hancock sequel is "definitely" happening:

When we asked Will if he'd ever be up for playing another superhero he replied that there were a lot of unexplored characters in the HANCOCK universe that would be ripe for a sequel and confirmed that we'll definitely see the rumored HANCOCK 2 in a few years.

The Peter Berg-directed film, which was made for $150 million, earned $624.4 million worldwide.

will smith should be wiped off the face of the planet.

good hancock was entertaining...plus any movie with will smith will automatically guarantee box office success so from a studio stand point its a no brainer.

the theatrical version was choppy, but the unrated version fixes a lot of that. Watching the Unrated version it becomes quickly apparent the studio was willing to sacrifice character for action, comedy, more action. Hopefully they've learned their lesson.

Hey! They deleted my last post. Why? I didnt say anything bad. All i said was...

"there were a lot of unexplored characters in the HANCOCK universe that would be ripe for a sequel"

Who? Michelle?

I'd see another Hancock because it's actually a NEW superhero movie and nobody will complain saying "it's nothing like the comic" because there is no comic and i'd also like them to get more into theyr rules of immortality.

The first Hancock was fine and actually a lot of fun right up until Theron's character revealed her super-ness. From then on, it sucked. Hancock's origin story blows and the whole "they lose their powers around each other" was painfully inconsistent and a really hacky plot device.

Considering how bad the history of Hancock and the rules of the Hancock universe are, there's no reason for a sequel. There is no story that was good enough to be explored in more films.

i liked hancock, the only thing i didnt like was lack of a REAL villain. hopefully we'll see a super powered villain, then it will be a real super hero movie....maybe....hopefully.

They need to make a sequel to I, Robot before they dole out any more money on Hancock. It was a good tent stake movie, not a tent pole.
