Butler Tells Heigl The Ugly Truth

Columbia Pictures has revealed the new trailer for director Robert Luketic's The Ugly Truth, starring Katherine Heigl and Gerard Butler, on the film's official website.

Opening on April 3, the romantic comedy co-stars Cheryl Hines, Bree Turner, Nate Corddry, Eric Winter and Bonnie Somerville.

The story centers on a romantically challenged morning show producer (Heigl) who is reluctantly embroiled in a series of outrageous tests by her chauvinistic correspondent (Butler) to prove his theories on relationships and help her find love. His clever ploys, however, lead to an unexpected result.

I like Katherine Heigl. She's not going to be winning any Oscars, but she's attractive and charming. I'm glad she's our new romantic comedy queen. Gerard Butler- less successful. His scattershot American accent (attempt I should say) sounds like a weird Michael Keaton impersonation. I suppose if I have a girlfriend when this comes out I'll be seeing it. Saddest sentence I've ever typed.

Here's the ugly truth...it's not as funny as her previous outings, but it has plenty moments to make you feel giddy, happy, and fuzzy-warm...snd a few hah-hah bits too. And Heigl is on board..hoo-rah.
