Timothy Olyphant in Crazies Remake

Timothy Olyphant has signed on to star in The Crazies, Overture's remake of the George Romero horror movie being directed by Breck Eisner, says The Hollywood Reporter.

The story revolves around the inhabitants of a small Kansas town who are beset by death and insanity after a plane crash lets loose a secret biological weapon into the water supply. Olyphant is playing the town's sheriff.

Scott Kosar and Ray Wright wrote the screenplay.

Michael Aguilar and Dean Georgaris are producing, with Romero executive producing.

Timothy Olyphant is ****ing badass. Loved him in Live Free or Die Hard and Hitman, and Deadwood was his greatest role ever. Very underrated actor.

I'm a big fan of the original and i'm afraid this could be made too close to the 28 days movies because in the original they didnt go into a murderous rage but become psychopaths and start to kill, rape and mutilate without remorse but in a almost catatonic/disconnected way. So you know, it's a family movie.

Cobbo, you are right. This guy is a terrible actor, doesn't know what emotion is. If someone thinks i'm wrong, go watch live free or die hard and hitman. "You don't know what i'm capable of" I laughed when he said that because i honestly didn't know what emotion he was trying to act, there was NOTHING there just him making retarded faces. This guy is a joke.

His performance in Deadwood was first-rate.His admiration for Wild Bill was perfect. His stoic presence was a perfect counter to Ian McShane.
A recent television highlight that can be revisited and still remain fresh and captivating.

I'll give you guys that he was miscast in "Live Free or Die Hard" and "Hitman", but this dude is an undeniably talented actor. "Deadwood" was one of the best shows ever, and he was terrific in it, I mean he held his own against a character like al swearengen; you have to give the guy props. And in "The Girl Next Door" he pretty much stole every scene that he was in. I'm hoping for the best with this movie.

they might be filming this movie in my home town.
