Terminator Salvation Scribes Board XXX

XXX: The Return of Xander Cage is getting off the ground with Terminator Salvation screenwriters Michael Ferris and John Brancato in early talks to write a script that will reunite Vin Diesel with director Rob Cohen, reports Variety.

The writing team, whose credits include Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines and the upcoming Jonathan Mostow-directed The Surrogates, began talks after pitching their take last Friday for a new installment in the action series to Columbia Pictures presidents Matt Tolmach and Doug Belgrad.

Diesel and Cohen teamed on the 2002 original, which starred Diesel as an extreme sports enthusiast drafted by the government for a dangerous mission.

I'll never forgive these two for ruining the Terminator franchise with T3. They had no respect for James Camerons original timeline. In T2 it clearly started on the LAPD database that John Connor was 10, yet these T3 John's narrations says he was 13. Also Sarah's tombstone stated she was born late 50's, yet T1 was set in 1984 and she was supposed to be 18, so that meant she was born in 1966. Also hated all the gags that they gave Arnold. God I hate this film! On the subject of XXX, neither the first or the second were exciting, so I doubt this will be anything more than an average hollywood action film.

I don't mind that both T3 and the TV show have contradicted T2 by saying John was 13, not 10 during T2 for a very simple reason - I never believed John was only 10 in that movie. Furlong didn't look 10. The character didn't act 10. He seems 13, he looks 13, he acts 13.

I never saw XXX but I walked out early when I went to see XXX: State of the Union...that was the biggest pile of garbage I'd ever seen
