Happy Feet 2 to be Made in Sydney

The Age is reporting that Warner Bros. Pictures will make Happy Feet 2 at a new digital production facility in Sydney, Australia.

NSW Minister of State Development Ian Macdonald revealed on Sunday that the George Miller-directed sequel will employ an average of 438 people over three years. They will include some 230 computer-generated imaging artists.

Miller praised the government's assistance package and the "Dr D" facility, which he said had already attracted a number of big budget international film projects in the planning or pre-production stage.

"This incentive by the NSW government is a significant step. It allows us to make 'Happy Feet 2' in Sydney and it will be the first of many productions from our new digital studio, Dr D," he said in a statement.

"It helps us in our attempts to attract substantial foreign investment which will create hundreds of high-end, highly skilled jobs as well as nurture the careers of many people coming out of our educational institutions who would otherwise have no place to grow their talents."

Personally I wasn't a big fan of the first one, it was way to preachy. It seemed more a political piece than a kids movie which would have been fine if that had been how it was marketed. But I with you guys, where's Justice league, or at least Wonder Woman. MArvel is already two movies in on their saga.

No no no no no no. I younger brothers and I saw the first one. It got old real fast. I cannot see where the sequel will go. I have had enough of penguins. What are they going to do next a film about tap-dancing emus.

I liked the film because it was made by Australians (Usually the film industries of australia are low quality, making very boring depressing film e.g "Look both ways" but there are some good ones eg. Wolfcreek, Rogue, Happy feet, Ned Kelly, Grabriel and mayb tht Australia movie) plus i really enjoyed the slapstick comedy of the penguins and the voice acting as well. But how will number 2 workout? And what about JL:mortal and Megan Gale As WW?

I don't think Justice League should be CG anyways. Make Happy Feet 2 now and now that Time Warner who owns DC Comics wants to reboot all their DC properties based on the model of the new Batman movies, hopefully they will start making some crossovers like they are doing over at Marvel. I'd rather wait a few extra years and get a good movie with sound structure than have another Hulk 1 on our hands and get another Happy Feet out of it.

People really can't make up their minds can they? First they want it to die a horrible death, now they want it back...

Anyways, I'm not sure about HF2. The first one was okay at times, but a sequel is unnecessary.
