The official trailer isn't supposed to debut online until Monday but already, decent quality "bootlegs" have hit the internet of the first full trailer for J.J. Abrams' highly-anticipated relaunch of Gene Roddenberry's eternal sci-fi franchise Star Trek, which debuted in front of Quantum of Solace yesterday.

You can watch the trailer below (for as long as it remains on YouTube) then look for the official better quality Hi-Def version on Monday:

Abrams' Star Trek is scheduled to open nationwide on May 8, 2009.

At my theater it was in front of Quantum and I was actually surprised to see it. I tell you what, to me since I am not a Star Trek fan, the trailer looked absolutely sick and I actually want to see this.

I am not and have NEVER been a Star Trek fan. Honestly, I always thought it was for nerds and old, old nerds.

HOWEVER, seeing the trailer for this new film has gotten me very interested! It looks AWESOME!!! And if it's a prequel, maybe I can actually become a new fan of a very, very old series.

The trailer looked awesome on the big screen, btw!
