Warner Bros. Pictures has provided us with the new trailer for director Zack Snyder's Watchmen, opening in conventional theaters and IMAX. Warner Bros. Pictures' big screen adaptation of the graphic novel stars Patrick Wilson, Jackie Earle Haley, Matthew Goode, Billy Crudup, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Malin Akerman, Carla Gugino, Stephen McHattie and Matt Frewer.

A complex, multi-layered mystery adventure, Watchmen is set in an alternate 1985 America in which costumed superheroes are part of the fabric of everyday society, and the "Doomsday Clock" - which charts the USA's tension with the Soviet Union - is permanently set at five minutes to midnight. When one of his former colleagues is murdered, the washed-up but no less determined masked vigilante Rorschach sets out to uncover a plot to kill and discredit all past and present superheroes. As he reconnects with his former crime-fighting legion - a ragtag group of retired superheroes, only one of whom has true powers - Rorschach glimpses a wide-ranging and disturbing conspiracy with links to their shared past and catastrophic consequences for the future. Their mission is to watch over humanity...but who is watching the watchmen?

You can watch the trailer in various formats here!

@ Nicky Niky Nine Door....

Thanks. That kinda sucks, but I'm still excited. I kind of agree with "Im sure this will incite riot" in that I found the squiddy ending to be a bit over my head, very cool, but over my head a bit. But, I could just be retarded or something.

Meh.... I'll still go see it, but this trailer was average. First one was better.

Either way, I'm excited as hell. I think this will be a good faithful rendition of my personal favorite GN. Like I said before, a new ending won't make or break me. Just keep the characters true to how Moore wrote em and I'll be satisfied. Pinning the blame on Dr. M makes more sense IMO. It still makes the villain the smartest person around (and an ***hole) n I doubt Dr. M would give a **** if humanity blamed him anyway. He left Earth to go make some pointless beings of his own, anyway.

Oh hell, just an horror, apparently the first film integraly in slow motion IoI with a roshrach voice transform in a tennager who try to be full of testosteron. Just ridiculous ! And Im a fan of the graphic novel but not allergic to a cinematographic adaptation, but here...god...Alan Moore was right.

wow they changed the squid to a blue explosion? thats so lame. the only reason the end worked out so well is because of the alien aspect of it. damn you zach for cutting out the greatest ending of any novel ever written.

I havent read the book for a little while now but wasn't half the purpose of the Squid to unify the world with a common enemy? How can this be achieved with Dr.M if he has previously been a wartime asset for the United States and now living on Mars, surely the world will not unify and avoid war to stop 1 man, regardless of his powers. It just doesn't work for me unfortunately.

I can only hope that this is all a farce and not the case.
