Out of any of the games that are out there right now, this has the most potential to be a a legitimate film. If they take the concept of two wise-cracking mercenaries working together to take down some crooked political scheme, it could be pretty entertaining.
They can pick and choose what set pieces (if any) they want to keep from the game and make something to entertain us (and maybe -- MAYBE -- challenge our stance on the military and politics and the relationship the two have). It's not exactly the kind of set-up that demands a strict adherance to the source material.
