Defamer has posted a photo of Ben Kingsley on the set of Walt Disney Pictures' Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, coming to theaters on May 28, 2010.

In the Mike Newell-directed fantasy adventure based on Ubisoft's popular video game, Jake Gyllenhaal will play Dastan, a young prince in sixth century Persia who must join forces with Tamina (Gemma Arterton), a feisty and exotic princess, to prevent a villainous nobleman (Kingsley) from possessing the Sands of Time, a gift from the gods that can reverse time and allow its possessor to rule the world.

ben kingsley is half east indian, so i wouldn't say "why are these WHITE people playin' middle easterns?" plus there aren't any mid-east actors out there working in america at least...besides he's always in those crappy movies as the villain.

it looks ok. it is made by disney so it may be next year's pirates. the trailer may show more promise...

You know, all mid-east people are not black.
For example, Iranian are white, they are from Aryan, which were white.

Looks like a live action version of Aladdin, then again, the whole time i was playing sands of time, i couldn't help but think about the movie aladdin. I'm hopeful about this film, the director is good, the cast seems decent. Let's just hope Hollywood can finally make a good film out of a video game, it's long overdue for one.
