Seth Rogen Producing Cancer Comedy?

Mandate Pictures has picked up I'm With Cancer, a comedic autobiographical spec script written by Will Reiser that Seth Rogen will produce with his writing-producing partner Evan Goldberg and Ben Karlin ("The Daily Show With Jon Stewart").

Rogen also will have a supporting role in the film.

"Cancer" is Reiser's account of his struggle to beat cancer, with the story centering on a 25-year-old who finds out he has the disease.

The film reteams Rogen and Goldberg with Mandate, for whom they are writing and producing the end-of-the-world comedy Jay and Seth vs. The Apocalypse. The duo are working on Sony's The Green Hornet.

the jay and seth short was kinda funny. I wonder how it'll turn out. but yeah... the whole tropic thunder retard thing and the more recent blindness controversy is annoying, and this cancer movie's probably going to have to deal with it ten fold. **** you, interest groups! learn to laugh.

Wait, people are protesting blindness because people in it go blind? WHAT!? I would think you'd protest a movie if it makes light of a terrible affliction, not if a movie happens to center around it...then again people were up in arms about Bubble Boy...BUBBLE BOY! What the hell...you know what, this stupidity is making my head hurt. I need tea.

I remember the disclaimer that was added to the live-action MR. MAGOO, that they weren't trying to insult the visually impaired -- well, they weren't; Mr. Magoo isn't comical because of his visual impairment, but for his stubborn hardheadedness against ADMITTING that his eyesight isn't that good.
